This is how it works.
You select a block of text on a web page and Franker then splits it to sentences, translates them one-by-one and injects the translation directly after every original sentence (check screenshots). So you read chunk of original text first, then translation.
This way you learn new words quickly and in context. Moreover, remembering the new words is not necessary, youll meet them again soon. Just proceed reading some interesting blog post, news or article on the Web!

Franker is a perfect companion for your Mobile Safari. It can be launched from Safari via bookmark, so you can always open current page in Franker. And back, Franker lets you open current page in Safari.

Franker has built-in support for Readability. For you who prefer read in comfort.

Text-to-Speech feature teaches you pronunciation. It is experimental and works for limited set of languages though.

Translation (and text-to-speech) are powered by Microsoft and Google translation services. This machine translation is good enough (to English at least) to help you understand the meaning and expand your vocabulary.
